Pardon me, Governor Polis, but what did you say? On Friday, amid a worldwide pandemic, Colorado’s Governor Polis took time away from his busy Colorado COVID-19 schedule to talk with “MSDNC’s” Chuck Todd. Polis made it a priority to dig into a narrative about how his “socialist” ideas are better than Trump’s “socialist” ideas. Maybe it’s Colorado’s Rocky Mountain high altitude? But yes, this happened. Jared Polis slammed President Trump as a Socialist.
Chinese propaganda says what? I listened to the interview several times and still cannot be sure of what he said. Ultimately, Polis was politicizing Trump’s idea to help out the airlines, trying to make it sound like Trump’s only interest is in helping “the big guys.” But anyone paying attention knows that’s blatantly false. Now is a time when the entire nation needs to come together. Still, Democrats never miss the opportunity to politicize any tragedy.
Any American not suffering from TDS (or not compromised by deal-making with the Chinese Communist Party) understands that the Trump Coronavirus Task Force has been working tirelessly to put forth innovative solutions to help all of us. The Trump team has been taking decisive action on the swift production of masks, ventilators, and other necessary supplies needed to help fight this enemy virus, with a unified goal of saving lives. They’ve done this mainly through the powerful integration of the private sector, a practice by the way that is unheard of among “socialists” like Polis.
The last time I remember a “socialist” in charge, we were served an Obamacare website that cost nearly $2 billion and months of development and DID NOTHING TO HELP SMALL BUSINESSES…but forgive me, I digress.
The time for these politically divisive statements, IS NOT NOW unless you’re friends with the anti-Trump mainstream media, also known as CCP propaganda activists. For months now, I’ve been referring to Chuck Todd as “China Todd.” With each day that goes by, it becomes more and more clear who signs the paychecks for these media hacks. Anyone paying attention can see that China’s infiltration across America, runs deep.
All that said, it’s easy for me to sit here and share my opinion of how Jared Polis and Chuck Todd are both dopes for politicking the human tragedy of Coronavirus; that is irrelevant to the bigger picture. But what IS EXTRAORDINARILY RELEVANT is this mother of all bombs of a speech given by Secretary Pompeo at the NGA on February 8, 2020.
I’ll emphasize again — MOAB alert — but after listening to Polis on Friday, I’m not sure he got the memo. Seriously, ONE MONTH AGO, Pompeo, described how China interferes with U.S. public policy, and he urged state governors to be vigilant on the China threat. Take a listen to what he had to say here, particularly poignant is the segment from 1:43 to 4:32. It’s eye-opening – especially now that we are a month further into the “China-virus.”
The transcript of Pompeo’s speech can be found here. From the transcript, Pompeo said to our governors: “Indeed, last year, a Chinese Government-backed think tank in Beijing produced a report that assessed all 50 of America’s governors on their attitudes towards China. They labeled each of you ‘friendly,’ ‘hardline,’ or ‘ambiguous.’ I’ll let you decide where you think you belong. Someone in China already has. Many of you, indeed, in that report are referenced by name.”
From Fox News, February 9: China’s Communist Party has infiltrated various levels of America’s infrastructure and is working to destroy the values of the United States, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said during a speech Saturday, while also warning state governors to be wary of China’s infiltration.
“We can’t ignore China’s actions and strategic intentions,” he said while addressing the National Governors Association winter meeting. “The Chinese government has been methodical in the way it’s analyzed our system… it’s assessed our vulnerabilities, and it’s decided to exploit our freedoms, to gain an advantage over us at the federal level, the state level, and the local level.”
Pompeo cited a letter from a diplomat at the Chinese Consul in New York to the speaker of an unnamed state legislature, advising that U.S. officials refrain from independent interaction with Taiwan.
Pompeo also spoke about China’s campaign to recruit U.S. scientists and academics to share vital secrets, in exchange for monetary gain through their “Thousand Talents Plan,” a campaign that has already targeted scientists and professors on campuses such as Virginia Tech and Harvard and triggered investigations by the Department of Justice (DOJ).
“China’s propaganda starts even earlier than college. China has targeted K-12 schools around the world,” he said. “Do you know that we have no ability to establish similar programs in China? We should have reciprocity in all things. Today they have free reign in our system, and we’re completely shut out from theirs… Beijing knows that today’s kids are tomorrow’s leaders.”
Pompeo then warned state governors about doing business with China and said it is common to indirectly finance communism without realizing it.
“I hope you will all take on board what I’ve said today,” Pompeo added. “Don’t lose sight of the competition from China that’s already present in your state. Let’s all rise to the occasion and protect our security, our economy, indeed all that we hold dear.”
WOW. That is a big deal, folks. And interesting timing, right? Pompeo knows where each governor ranks on the China-friendlies list. Maybe I’m wrong, but it sure does seem to me that Pompeo spoke to our governors to test them to see which side they choose. If I had to guess about that Polis interview with “China Todd,” on Friday, I’d bet Polis was docked a few points on his test. Regardless, it wasn’t a good look for Polis.
